About The Gallery

The Gallery Event Center is classic, elegant space located in the center of historic downtown Johnson City, Tennessee. This 5,000 square foot facility features the original wide-plank maple floors and exposed brick from the historic building. Supported by refurbished heavy tongue & groove beams, the room is full of old world charm and refinement. The space has been updated with crown moulding, refinished windows, and crystal chandeliers. The working fireplace adds a warm glow to any occassion. Scenic views of the Appalachian Mountains line the windows, offering an incredible scenic view in the middle of the city.

We are full service event facility, offering catering to fit every taste and level of formality. Our menu was created by Chef Armond and the Stir Restaurant Group. Take a look at our catering menu!

The Gallery accommodates up to 250 guests and is the ideal venue for a variety of affairs, from weddings to corporate events. We offer complete connectivity for a DJ, local band, and all other entertainment needs. Chairs, tables, and linens are available and included in the price of the venue rental.

About the Chef

Chef Armond

Armond Lanesse is a native of Northern California .This is also where he studied the Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of the Arts San Francisco. Upon his graduation Armond started his career with Sodexo a foodservice management company as a Sous Chef.

After sharpening his skills for 4 years Chef Armond joined the Levy foodservice management team. With his many talents Chef Armond and his team were responsible for food service for the Luxury Suites, Locker Rooms, Press and Owners’ Room for the Oakland As’, Golden State Warriors, and the Oakland Raiders. During this time Chef Armond was also chosen to head the Back Stage Catering for   Levy which Armond  and his team prepared food for Britney Spears, The Rolling Stones, Paul, McCartney, Prince, The Grateful Dead, Elton John, and Madonna just to name a few. Chef Armond as also been a Team Chef for the Grammy Awards, NBA, NHL All-Stars Games, 3 MLB playoff games, the Super bowl ,and the Kentucky Derby. After 7years Chef Armond was transferred to the Racing division where he was place on the NASCAR Travel team where he was responsible for the Luxury Suite Hot Entrée Menu items for Infineon Raceway, Texas, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Charlotte, and Bristol Motor Speedways. Armond left Levy after 9 years of service and Joined the Troutdale Kitchens team where he was  the  Chef of Troutdale Catering, The Troutdale Café, Café 70,Troutdale at the Bristol Country Club and Troutdale’ Burger Bar. Chef Armond has been with Ben Zandi and the Troutdale team for 8 years and has been a player in a great number of major functions Troutdale has performed. After a 9 years with Troutdale Kitchens Chef Armond  moved on and teamed up with the Stir Fry Restaruant Group. He is the executive Chef of Label in Johnson City. Where he stills creates his art of fine cusines!
