About The Gallery

The Gallery Event Center is classic, elegant space located in the center of historic downtown Johnson City, Tennessee. This 5,000 square foot facility features the original wide-plank maple floors and exposed brick from the historic building. Supported by refurbished heavy tongue & groove beams, the room is full of old world charm and refinement. The space has been updated with crown moulding, refinished windows, and crystal chandeliers. The working fireplace adds a warm glow to any occassion. Scenic views of the Appalachian Mountains line the windows, offering an incredible scenic view in the middle of the city.

We are full service event facility, offering catering to fit every taste and level of formality. Our menu was created by Chef Armond and the Stir Restaurant Group. Take a look at our catering menu!

The Gallery accommodates up to 250 guests and is the ideal venue for a variety of affairs, from weddings to corporate events. We offer complete connectivity for a DJ, local band, and all other entertainment needs. Chairs, tables, and linens are available and included in the price of the venue rental.

About the Chefs

Chef Victor

Chef Victor was born and raised in Puerto Rico, he moved to Miami in 1991,  He spent his young years fascinated with the culinary world, his father’s family owned a large Cuban restaurant and catering company that was well known to the locals.  He later moved to Ocala Florida where he began working at the Hilton Hotel,  training and developing his culinary skills.  After years of training,  he became the Executive of several Elite Private Country Clubs in the Area, catering large events as well as private family dining experiences.  In 2013, Victor was voted one of the Best Chef’s in Florida and In 2014 he was Voted The Best Executive Chef in Ocala.

Chef Victor Specializes in Italian and Latin eclectic Cuisine, He starts each dish with the freshest ingredients, all from scratch recipes while adding modern Latin flair. Every dish offers brilliant, diverse and flavorful cuisine as Chef Victor incorporates his  family recipes and culinary techniques.

Victor’s wife of 15 years, Laurie, and their sons Vito, Giovanni and Santino are new to the Tri-Cities area and are excited to begin their next journey.

Chef Armond

Armond Lanesse is a native of Northern California .This is also where he studied the Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of the Arts San Francisco. Upon his graduation Armond started his career with Sodexo a foodservice management company as a Sous Chef.

After sharpening his skills for 4 years Chef Armond joined the Levy foodservice management team. With his many talents Chef Armond and his team were responsible for food service for the Luxury Suites, Locker Rooms, Press and Owners’ Room for the Oakland As’, Golden State Warriors, and the Oakland Raiders. During this time Chef Armond was also chosen to head the Back Stage Catering for   Levy which Armond  and his team prepared food for Britney Spears, The Rolling Stones, Paul, McCartney, Prince, The Grateful Dead, Elton John, and Madonna just to name a few. Chef Armond as also been a Team Chef for the Grammy Awards, NBA, NHL All-Stars Games, 3 MLB playoff games, the Super bowl ,and the Kentucky Derby. After 7years Chef Armond was transferred to the Racing division where he was place on the NASCAR Travel team where he was responsible for the Luxury Suite Hot Entrée Menu items for Infineon Raceway, Texas, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Charlotte, and Bristol Motor Speedways. Armond left Levy after 9 years of service and Joined the Troutdale Kitchens team where he was  the  Chef of Troutdale Catering, The Troutdale Café, Café 70,Troutdale at the Bristol Country Club and Troutdale’ Burger Bar. Chef Armond has been with Ben Zandi and the Troutdale team for 8 years and has been a player in a great number of major functions Troutdale has performed. After a 9 years with Troutdale Kitchens Chef Armond  moved on and teamed up with the Stir Fry Restaruant Group. He is the executive Chef of Label in Johnson City. Where he stills creates his art of fine cusines!

About the Event Planner

Lisa Tolliver is a Certified Wedding Planner and a Certified Meeting Professional with over 15 years experience in wedding and corporate event planning. She has been owner of Posh Productions Wedding and Event Planning since 2008. She has also worked as a marketing and meetings manager for Duke University Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital where she planned continuing medical education symposia for up to 1200 physicians in major cities across the nation. She holds a bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University and has served as an Ambassador for the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce since 2009. Her attention to detail and passion for planning and executing flawless events is evident through her work.
